ALFREDTON TALKIES
TOMORROW NIGHT. One of the most thrilling pictures in history is “Submarine DI,” the first great drama of modern undersea warare, so it was booked as a special attraction at Alfredton tomorrow (Thursday night). The picture stars Pat O’Brien. George Brent, Wayne Morris Frank McHugh and Doris Weston. They make this picture an adventure fbat is as thrilling as Commander Frank Wead, the author, could wish lor. There are shown the risks that daring heroes take every day; modern submarines defend the coast against battleship attacks, and the life-saving “elevator” which goes to the bottom of the ocean to rescue sunken submarines. There is a strong current of humour in the picture.
