ANTI=TANK BATTERY
NEW ZEALANDERS MAKE GOOD SHOWING. VISIT BY LORD WILLINGDON. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, December 31. Officials are greatly impressed with the smartness and briskness of the New Zealand anti-tank battery after their short period of training. One-third of the personnel are absent on leave and the remainder were drawn up yesterday on the parade ground to meet Lord and Lady Willingdon (who are representing Britain at the Dominion’s Centennial celebrations) and Mr and Mrs W. J. Jordan who were received by the camp commandant. Lord Willingdon paid tribute to the battery’s appearance. He emphasised the strength and unity of the Empire s ties. The battery marched past the guests in fine order and cheered them before departing. ___________
