WAIRARAPA CENTRE TOURNEY. PLAY AT MASTERTON'GREEN. The New Year bowling tournament of the Wairarapa Bowling Centre opened yesterday in delightful weather on the Masterton Club’s green. Rinks from most Wairarapa clubs, besides a team from Palmerston Nprth, are taking part. Yesterday three rounds were played in both the A and B sections and it is hoped to decide the concluding three rounds today, though wet weather this morning caused some interruption of play. In section A, at the close of the fourth round. Johnson’s was the only unbeaten rink. In the B section Higgison’s rink, with three wins and a draw, was in the lead. Results are: — Section A.
