NOTIUM SALUTES JUDGE. BRONZE STEP WINS HACK CUP. NEW PLYMOUTH. December 27. Again for the concluding day the Taranaki summer races drew a large attendance. The weather was fine and the going excellent. The totalisator handled £20.274, compared with £23,622 10s the second day last year, a total for the meeting of £45.932 10s compared with £50,764 last year. Toki, rider of Disturbed, and McInally, rider of Mai de Mer, in the hurdle race, were each suspended for a fortnight under rule 289 (3).
