MASS MURDER
TORPEDOING OF MEATSHIP ONLY EIGHT SURVIVORS. FORTY BELIEVED DROWNED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) CAPETOWN, December 27. Eight survivors have been landed from the meat ship Navasota, torpedoed in the Bay of Biscay on December 5. The remaining forty members of the crew are believed to be drowned. A survivor described the torpedoing as mass murder.
