NUT AND BOLT NECKLACE

ANN SOTHERN’S LATEST. Ann Sothern, the piquant leading lady of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s "Fast and Furious,'’ drew the “ohs” and “ahs” of the cast with her nut and bolt necklace and her “only human" one. The former, needs little explanation as it is a series of miniature nuts and bolts strung on a slender golden chain. But the “only human" is nothing more or less than midget pencils and erasers which may be slipped off at will from a strand of gold cord. The actress ties the cord in a small bow at the back of the neck from, the ends of which hang two pencils. No chance to forget to write down a memo in this case — nor to erase a mistake. “And to err is only human,” grins Miss Sothern. ‘
