4 ENEMY RAIDS REPULSED EAST OF MOSELLE. FRENCH OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, December 26. A French official morning communique states: “East of the Moselle two enemy raids have been repulsed by our fire.” GERMAN BROADCAST BENEFIT OF FRENCH TROOPS. CHRISTMAS AFTERNOON REPORT. PARIS, December 26. A communique states that all was quiet on the entire front, except for German loud-speakers, broadcasting in pure French, records "for the benefit of the French troops.” An extra wine ration was issued to the FrenchtOulposts in the Saar and Palatinate regions and extra chocolate and rum to the British. The French Press extensively quotes the King’s broadcast and adds inspiring comments.
