DESTROYED BY FIRE
TOTALISATOR HOUSE AT WAIPUKURAU. (By Telegraph—Press Association.' WAIPUKURAU, December 23. The tatalisator house of the Waipukurau Jockey Club was destroyed by a fire which broke out at 1.20 this morning. The fire brigade was called out, but it was impossible to save the building. which was an old wooden structure. The insurance on the building and contents was £440. Because of the impossibility of making temporary arrangements for the Boxing Day meeting the venue was changed to Hastings.
