CHURCH SERVICES

The singing of Christmas carols will marie the Church of England services tomorrow. At St. Matthew’s Church the Rev. V. W. Joblin will be the preacher at 11 a.m., and the vicar at 7 p.m. The Rev. T. V. Pearson will preach at Kuripuni at 7 p.m. On Christmas morning there will be celebrations at St. Matthew's Church at 6 a.m., 7 a.m.. 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. At 11 a.m. the Rev. Hepa Taepa will preach. A special children's service will be conducted by the Rev. V. W. Joblin at 10 a.m. Celebrations will be held at Kuripuni at 9 a.m., Upper Plain at 9.15 a.m.. and Taueru at 10.30 a.m. At the Lansdowne Church tomorrow, the services in the morning will be conducted by the Rev. D. McNeur, and in the evening by the Rev. R. Dickie. On Christmas Day there will be a service conducted by the Rev. D. McNeur at 9 a.m. There will be Presbyterian services tomorrow at Mauriceville at 9.30 a.in., at Kaiparoro at 1.30 p.m., Eketahuna 3 p.m., and Alfredton 7 p.m. Christmas Sunday will be observed in the Methodist Church tomorrow. Al the morning service the subject will be: "And His Name Shall Be Called Wonderful.” and after a shortened service the Christmas service of Holy Communion will be held. At the evening service the subject will be. "The Challenge of This Christmas." and Mr S. H. Ralph will sing the Christmas solo, "Nazareth.” The preacher in the morning and evening will be the Rev. Frederick J. Parker. At the Kuripuni Methodist Church tomorrow the morning service will be conducted, by Mr E. Steer, while in the evening cars will be available for the town church service. Special Christmas services will be held at the Salvation Army tomorrow. The morning service will be conducted by Mrs Jones (nee Adjutant Hutchins). Brother Jones will be the speaker. In the evening the service will feature the singing of Christmas carols. The Rev. Simpson will be the speaker, and will take for his subject. "Crowded Out.” All are heartily invited to the Army's services.
