GREYTOWN
OBITUARY MR THOMAS B. HEAPY. (“Times-Age" Special.) The death occurred at his residence at Hupenui, Greytown, last evening of Mr Thomas B. Heapy. The late Mr Heapy had been in ill health for some months, and his death was not altogether unexpected. For many years he conducted a bus service to the Greytown station as mail contractor. He later engaged in farming and was a successful breeder of Jersey cattle. He was a member of the Ahikouka River Board for some years. Mr Heapy was married twice. He is survived by his eldest son, Norman, and daughter Joyce; children of his first marriage, and also his second wife and a young family of six. The funeral will take place on Sunday at 1.30 p.m. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs Molesworth and family, Wellington, are spending the Christmas vacation with Mr and Mrs F. Best. Main Street. Mr and Mrs G. Maloney and family returned home yesterday after a week spent in Wellington. Misses E. and M. Best, of Wellington, are home with their parents, Mr and Mrs F. Best, Main Street, for the Christmas holidays. Mr and Mrs R. A. Grigg, Wellington, are visiting Mrs Griggs's mother. Wood Street. Mrs Grigg Senr., is the guest of her son, Mr W. Grigg, Kuratiwhiti Street. Greytown. She is accompanied by her son, Mr A. Grigg, who is on leave from Trentham Camp. Farewell to Soldiers. All soldiers on leave are invited to attend the farewell party to be tendered to the Greytown soldiers on Tuesday night
