AN ATTRACTIVE SWEET

FOR SUMMER DAYS. This is an attractive sweet for summer days, and the recipe is a variant of the usual trifle mixture: Take A sponge ring, 1 pint packet jelly crystals, hot water, loz almonds, cream. . Split the sponge ring in half and place one halt in a glass dish. The other piece can be utilised for some other purpose. Dissolve the jelly in one pint of hot water (if liked it may be flavoured with a spoonful or two of sherry), then pour it very slowly over the sponge ring, and leave it to set. Blanch and split the almonds and stick them round the edge of the ring. Decorate the top with whipped cream.
