ALFREDTON
FANCY DRESS PARTY & XMAS TREE GATHERING IN THE HALL. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Alfredton Hall was filled to its capacity with a merry throng of children and parents on Saturday evening, the occasion being the annual Christmas tree function. The majority of the children numbering over a hundred were in fancy dress and presented a pretty picture. Santa Claus (Mr A. Weston) distributed toys, balloons and a bag of sweets to each child. After Santa Claus had distributed the toys the children took part in the Grand March and then sat down io supper provided by the parents. Ice cream was also served to each child. Mesdames S. M. George, Smith, Hartley, Edmonds. Dickens and Hull are to be congratulated on the success of the evening and the happy time enjoyed by all.
