YOUNG FARMERS
WAIRARAPA TEAM’S SUCCESS AT ROYAL SHOW. MOST CREDITABLE PERFORMANCE. Reference to the notable success achieved at the Royal Show at Invercargill by the Wairarapa team of Young Farmers was made this morning by Mr N. Lamont. Wairarapa District secretary. The members of the team wore Messrs G. Blatchford (Masterton), H. McKenzie (Carterton), and I. McLaren (Martjinborough), a fourth member. Mr G. McLeod (Martinborough) being prevented by road blockages from reaching Wellington. His absence very seriously weakened the Wairarapa team. Mr N. Lamont heartily congratulated the team on its tine performance, which had added another success to its record in judging competitions in which the Wairarapa had Specialised to some extent. Only two national judging competitions had been held. In the first the Wairarapa had secure I two firsts out of four such awards and Hie second two out of six.
