THE ACHILLES LOCAL MEMBERS OF CREW. (“Times-Age” Special.) One settler states that it is the heaviest flood he remembered for years. What a couple of weeks ago were green paddocks, are now mud flats. It will be several weeks before there will be any grazing with the result that stock are being removed to other properties. A Popular Spot. The local swimming baths have proved a very popular spot, both for children and adults during this fine weather. Personal. Mr and Mrs Louis, of Clinton, South Island, and Mr and Mrs McClellan. Thames, are the guests of Mrs Charles, Hayward Street, for the holidays.
