AIR AGREEMENT
ANNOUNCEMENT BY FEDERAL PREMIER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Dav. 11.45 a.m.) SYDNEY. This Day. Tiie conditions that will apply to the training of the comparatively small number of Australian airmen who will go to Canada under the Empire air scheme were announced by the Federal Premier (Mr R. G. Menzies). An agreement on the subject has been completed by the British. Canadian. Australian and New Zealand Governments. Mr Menzies said the British Government had agreed to take steps to preserve the national identity of the representatives of each country. The main points of agreement are that the agreement is to operate at once and to remain in force until March 31. 1943. The Government of Canada will act as administrator of the scheme, with the assistance of a supervisory board on which all parties to the agreement will be represented.
