GERMAN SHIP ESCAPES BRITISH CRUISER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 1.15 p.m.) NEW YORK, December 19. The German freighter Aranca. fleeing from a British cruiser, anchored in Port Everglades, bringing to a climax a chase on the Florida coast in which a shot was fired across her bow in an attempt to halt her. Port officials said that if unarmed, the Aranca would be allowed to remain indefinitely, but that if armed she must denari within twenty-four hours.
