(Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. “I definitely refuse to give up the world’s championship trophy because I won it fairly.”—This passage appeared in a letter from Mr Scahill and was read at a meeting of the Eighteen Footer Sailing League. Mr Scahill added in the letter that if the League intended to proceed for the recovery of the trophy it had best interview his solicitors.

The executive committee of the New South Wales Eighteen Footer Sailing League cancelled the registration of the Tarec and expelled the owner, W. Scahill, and the skipper, B. Swinbourne. Scahill was expelled for not obeying a request to return the championship cup and Swinbournc for unbecoming conduct at a previous meeting.
