OBITUARY

MR H. M. THOMPSON. The death occurred at the Masterton. Hospital yesterday of Mi- Harold Mace Thompson at the age of 48 years. The late Mr Thompson, who had resided in New Zealand all his life, was born in the Carterton district. For four years he was engaged in the business of moneylending, later taking over a billiard saloon in Bannister Street, Masterton, which he conducted for eight years. For five years he had a second hand establishment. Of a retiring disposition, the late Mr Thompson was widely known and highly respected. He is survived by a widow, and his father, Mr Frank Thompson, both of whom will have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their bereavement.

The funeral will leave the residence, 4 Elizabeth Street, at 10.30 a.m. tomor-' row for the Masterton cemetery.
