MINED & SUNK
NEWCASTLE STEAMER’S FATE. ALL MEMBERS OF CREW SAVED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) LONDON. December 17. The Newcastle steamer Amble was mined and sunk in the North Sea. All seventeen members of the crew were picked up after they had spent seven hours in open boats and landed at a coast port.
