GOLD MINING RETURNS.

The White's Electric dredge returned 360 z for 117 hours from 6300 yards. The New River return totalled 16oz for 111 hours from 7000 yards. The Nemona dredge returned 320 z for 136 hours from 13,500 yards. The Worksop Extended dredge reports that no cleanup took place last week owing to short dredging time due to a break-down in machinery. Dredging has been resumed. Dredge returns for the first half of December are as follow:—Barrytown: Worked 21.1 hours, treated 84,000 yards for 5220 z. Kanieri: 171 hours and 94,000 yards for 4590 z. Arahura: 256 hours and 161,000 yards for 6640 z.
