FISHERMEN VOLUNTEERS
FOR SERVICE IN BRITISH MINE-SWEEPERS. NEWFOUNDLAND CONTINGENT WELCOMED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, December 15. Lord Derby welcomed, on behalf of the King, two hundred fishermen from Newfoundland, who have arrived at Liverpool to join the Navy and serve in, mine-sweepers. All are bachelors, their ages ranging from eighteen to twenty-four. It is a first contingent of 625 volunteers.
