WASHING NET CURTAINS
A SAFE METHOD. Drop curtain, rolled up lightly, into one or more changes of boiling water and soap suds. Move them up and down in the water gently without rubbing ox - pressing. When the lather seems to be clean, rinse well in cold water. Then dip in a solution of 2oz gum arabic or 2oz sugar in about two gallons water. Drain from this solution and pin out on a clean sheet to dry. When dry place a thin piece of cloth ox - muslin ovex - and iron on the wrong side.
