DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL PRIMARY LEAVING CERTIFICATES (“Times-Age” Special.) At the display of school work in connection with the Martinborough District High School Primary leaving certificates were presented to the following pupils—Vaughan Amos, George Hardie, Arthur Houghton, Les Harris, Peter Jamieson, Richard Kershaw, Alister McLeod, Max Marflitt, W. McKinley, lan Munn, Stan Trounce, Charles Ekill, Sybi Clarke, Margaret Colton, Nola Jamieson, Nola Kaio, Gwyn Lister, Valerie Shirley, Gwen Smith, Gladys Wright. TEACHER FAREWELLED MISS MAHOOD. Yesterday the staff of the local District High School and the School Committee tendered a complimentary morning tea to Miss I. Mahood, who is severing her connection with the local school today to take up a position in Featherston after the vacation. In presenting Miss Mahood with a handsome rose bowl Mr Griffiths and Mr Pryor conveyed good wishes of Committee and Staff, but regretted her loss to the school. This morning the Home and School Association entertained Miss Mahood at morning tea, when the President (Mrs Burch) on behalf of members, presented Miss Mahood with a beautiful crystal piece.
