WOOL CONTROL

TRADE PROBLEMS IN BRITAIN. PLEA FOR CO-OPERATIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day 11.20 a.m.) LONDON, December 14. Pleading for fuller co-operation between the wool control, and all elements of the trade for the solution of the urgent and important problems confronting the trade, the chairman of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Coy, Mr Harold Brown, in his speech at the company's annual meeting, said: —"Is it too much to ask that wool controls should be limited to those really necessary to protect vital national interests. These must be ensured and the best use made of Dominion clips. Only thus can be -avoided the embarrassing problems which must arise from growing a raw wool surplus." A British Wool Federation deputation waited on Mr L. Burgin (Minister of Supply) concerning the effect of wool control. Mr Burgin promised an investigation.
