WAIRARAPA SOUTH I MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. LITTLE DAMAGE FROM FLOODS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Wairarapa South County Council was held in the Board Room. Carterton. this morning'. There were present. Mr Duncan McGregor (chairman), and Crs C. A. Cameron, Alex McGregor, S. W. Joblin, W. A. Renall, F. Court, L. S. Gallon. A. E. Reid, and E. W. Allen. The County Overseer, Mr J. A. Wallace. reported that little damage had been done by the recent floods. Norfolk Road had been sealed from the State Highway to the abbatoirs. A priming coat had been applied to the Freezing Works Road and Borthwick’s yards. Belvedere Road would be sealed after the New Year. On behalf of the outsidestaff, the overseer extended seasonal greetings to the council. It was reported that the CarringtonTaratahi water-race had suffered slightly from the flood damage.
