ROYAL SHOW
SATISFACTORY ATTENDANCES. IMPRESSIVE STOCK DISPLAYS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL. This Day. Following on the successful opening of the Royal Show yesterday, People’s Day is being held today. The weather is again fine and calm, following on an early morning shower. A record entry of horses will be judged to day as well as a few sections of sheep and cattle which were not completed yesterday through the noil-arrival of judges owing to stormy weather conditions in the north delaying them. Yesterday the Show lost, some of lhe attractiveness through the absence o f sideshows, owing to a dispute with the society continuing, but those interested in stock found sufficient to occupy their attention in the impressive display. especially of dairy cattle. The attendance for the opening day was very satisfactory, but with a halfholiday in the city today, a record crowd is expected. An additional Royal Show championship is:— Romney Marsh ram. D.
