SOLWAY OLD GIRLS
WAIRARAPA BRANCH. FINAL MEETING OF YEAR. The final meeting of the year of the Wairarapa Branch of the Solway Old Girls’ Association was held recently at the home of the president, Mrs Eric Shaw, Te Ore Ore. A garden competition was won by Miss Nora Ractcliffe. During the afternoon the opportunity was taken by the president of making a presentation to Miss Bessie Percy in honour of her approaching marriage. The year’s activities concluded on November 23 with a dinner at the Empire Hotel followed by a picture party at rhe Regent Theatre. Members were present from all parts of the Wairarapa. A supper party at the Country Women’s Club brought to a close the many happy social gatherings which have been held at regular intervals throughout the year. At the conclusion of the gathering a presentation was made to the president, Mrs Eric Shaw, in recognition of the services rendered by her to the branch during the year.
