CRIPPLED CHILDREN

WAIRARAPA BRANCH ACTIVITIES. THREE NEW CASES. Three new cases were reported at the fortnightly meeting of the Wairarapa branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society. The children, who are inmates of the Masterton Public Hospital, have been visited by the Society's Welfare Officer. Two boys, whom the Society have been assisting with secondary education, will leave shortly and will require suitable occupations. One is recommended for a clerical position and the other as an apprentice in a workshop. Mrs Kilgour (Welfare Officer) reported having made arrangements for a holiday home on a Wairarapa farm for a Wellington crippled girl. Farm work for the Christmas vacation has also been arranged for a youth who desires to earn pocket money during the holidays.
