The steamer Thomas Walton is reported to have sunk after a violent explosion, in Northern Norway. Sixteen members of the crew are believed to have been killed outright. The German steamer Sebu rescued 11 and Norwegian ships picked up others. ONLY TWO RESCUED. ' FROM CREW OF EIGHTEEN. (Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, December 8. The steamer Merel was mined of the south-east coast of England and sank in four minutes. Two members of the crew of 18 were rescued.
