MADE BY RICKSHAW MEN IN SINGAPORE APPRECIATION OF BRITISH RULE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.10 a.m.) SINGAPORE. December 6. The latest contribution to the Malaya Patriotic Fund is 1.000 dollars from the Singapore Rickshaw Owners' Association, a majority of whom are not British subjects. An accompanying letter states: "This is a measure towards playing our part as citizens of this colony and towards expressing our gratitude for the kind treatment received at the hands of the British Government. We hope such a small sum will not be despised."
