STUDENT VOLUNTEERS

ITALIANS OFFER TO FIGHT FOR FINNS GOVERNMENT NOT ACTING OFFICIALLY. BUT APPARENTLY RAISING NO OBJECTION. NEW YORK. December 5. The “New York Times” Rome correspondent states that 100 students have petitioned the Finnish Ambassador for permission to fight the Russians. Italians are reported to be flying the Italian planes recently sold to Finland. It seems that another “international brigade” is being formed, this time against Communism. The Government is not acting officially. but apparently it is not objecting to Italians volunteering. Undoubtedly thousands of Italians would spontaneously and genuinely volunteer.
