LANGDALE SPORTS CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The president, Mr Hugh Morrison (Awatoitoi) presided over the annual meeting of the Langdale Sports Club which was held on Saturday night. There was a good attendance of members. Brief reference was made by the president to the excellent services rendered to the club by the patron. Mr T. Cripps and a past vice-president. Mr J. Toogood. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President. Mr Hugh Morrison: vice-presidents, Messrs H. Bennett, G. Laing. R. Liverton, J. B. Moody; B. V. Skeet: hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr John Morrison; horse marshal. Mr R. S. Pilmer; pony marshal. Mr J. D. Balfour; judges ,Mr N. Speedy (horses) and Mr C. J. Percy 'ponies): horse stewards. Messrs H. J. Groves, E. Horner. C. Bannister, and J. T. O’Brien: pony steward. Mr S. O'Hara. It was decided to hold the annual sports meeting on January 15. 1940.
