SECRET RADIO STATION
DESTROYED TN COSTA RICA. (Received This Day. 1.15 p.m.) SAN JOSE (Costa Rica), Dec. 3. The newspaper “La Tribuna” reports the destruction of a secret radio station near San Jose, operated by a subject of an European power who allegedly had been sending messages in code.
The funeral of the late Mr Alex. McKenzie took place in Masterton this afternoon, there being a large attendance. The service at the graveside was conducted by the Rev J. Davie. Pallbearers were Messrs L. McKenzie, M. McKenzie, J. Bannister. R. Bannister (nephews), J. Whiteman and S. M. Jones (Government Valuation Department). The late Mr McKenzie left two sisters who are residents of Wellington.
