LAST MEETING OF YEAR

WOMEN’S WELFARE LEAGUE. HOSPITAL VISITORS APPOINTED. The last meeting of the year of the Women’s National Welfare League was held yesterday afternoon in the Midland Hotel. There were present:— Miss Kummer (in the chair), Mesdames Kilgour. Andrew, Drummond, Tolhurst, Pither, McCracken, Garland, Caselberg, Fletcher, Collie, Glen. Misses Boddington, Wilson and M. Cameron. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Free, Hunter, Coleman. A. W. McKenzie, Misses Vallance, Guild. Bellis and C. Cameron. Arrangements were made for the Christmas visit to the Buchanan Home to take place on December 14, and for visitors to the public hospital during the holiday months. The latter will include Mesdames Tolhurst, Collie, Drummond, Kilgour, Fletcher and Miss Kummer. Mrs Tolhurst reported on the two visits paid during November. A gift of playing cards was received, and these will be distributed among hospital patients.
