SPEAKER GIVEN EMERGENCY POWERS. (British Ofiielal Wireless.) RUGBY. November 30. The Prime Minister. Mr Chamberlain. in the House of Commons, moved a resolution providing that during the present session whenever the House stands adjourned the Speaker-shall be empowered to call members together al an earlier date if deemed necessary in the public interest. The resolution was agreed to.
