SCHOOL ASSOCIATION FINAL MEETING OF YEAR. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the Home and School Association’s final meeting for the year, Miss Card was in the chair. Others present were Mesdames C. J. Carlyon, J. Buck, J. G. McKenzie, G. Harkness, Saunders and Rea, and Messrs K. H. Allen and Hayes. * It was decided to send a letter to Mr Kilsby wishing him a speedy recovery from his operation. Miss Card etxended to those present the compliments of the season. Mr Hayes (headmaster) thanked the association for the work of the members and the interest they had taken in the school during the year. The association will go into recess till lhe end of February. BOY BREAKS LEG ACCIDENT AT LIGHTHOUSE. On Monday evening, Mr P. H. Wilton was called out to the lighthouse at Cape Palliser. where a boy. 5 years of age, son of Mr Nelson, the lighthouse attendant, while playing, fell and broke a leg. The injured boy had to be carried on a stretcher' over four miles cf sand to a motor-car by which he was brought to Featherston and attended to by Dr. Sharp. He was then taken to the Masterton Hospital for treatment. >, Personal Items. Miss Joan Hood is visiting her sister, Mrs Pearce, Woodville. Mr and Mrs A. L. J. Birt, Upper Hutt, have returned home after having been the guest of Mrs Juno. Pihautea. Miss May Scott has returned to her home in Woodville from a visit to Mrs F. Wood, Pihautea. Mrs Alex. McNab, Wellington, is the guest of Mr Sullivan, Kahutara Road.
