REPORTED ON WESTERN FRONT. RECONNAISSANCE FLIGHTS BY AIR FORCE. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) RUGBY. November 28. The French official morning communique states: "There was nothing of importance to report during the night." The Air Ministry announces tlhat aircraft of the Royal Air Force carried out successful flights*over NorthWest Germany last night. ABORTIVE RAID. GERMANS USE SMOKE SHELLS. . (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) PARIS, November 28. For the first time since the outbreak of war, the Germans used smoke shells during a raid about 10 miles east of the Moselle. The raid failed. Berlin advices say the Official News Agency reports some artillery and reconnaissance activity and the capture of eight Frenchmen at Grindorf. The weather has halted aerial operations.
