FEATHERSTON
CRICKET MATCH RAIN INTERRUPTS PLAY. ("Times-Age” Special.) A cricket match was played yesterday between the Featherston and Pirates club. The game was played on a damp pitch, and as the game progressed the pitch became rather slippery. At afternoon tea adjournment rain, set in, and play was postponed. The second innings will be played next Sunday. Pirates batted first making 58 runs L. Fuge 14. W. Lynskey 10; B. Hosking, 5 wickets for 15). . Featherston in the first innings compiled 61 runs (P. Ritchie 11, W. Taylor 12; D. Howells. 5 for 23).
