CHURCH SERVICES
The meetings of the Masterton Baptist Fellowship in the Y.M.C.A. Hall on Sunday next will be conducted by Mr A. E. Lonsdale, of the Auckland Baptist College. Visitors will be welcomed at the meetings. The Sunday School will meet at 10 a.m.. and on Tuesday evening Mr Lonsdale will conduct a Bible study and prayer meeting.
The Presbyterian Church services'at Knox" Church, Masterton, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. tomorrow, and at Kaituna at 2 p.m., will be taken by the Rev. John Davie ,who will also conduct a service at Solway on Thursday at 7.30 p.m. The Holy Communion will be celebrated at St. Matthew’s at 8 a.m. tomorrow, and at Kuripuni and Upper Plain at 9 a.m. The vicar (Rev. E. J. Rich) will be the preacher both in the morning and evening at St.- Matthew’s, and the Rev. T. V. Pearson at Kuripuni and the Public Hospital. The services at the Salvation Army tomorrow will be conducted by Major and Mrs Mahafl'ie. The Major will be the .speaker at the morning service, when he will take for his subject, “The Happy Christian.” Mrs Mahafl'ie will be the speaker at the evening service. All are heartily welcome. Church Membership Day will be celebrated in the Methodist Church tomorrow, when the Rev. Fred. J. Parker will be the preacher in the morning and evening, the subjects being "The Value of Membership” and "The Task of the Church.”- During the services the annual tickets of church membership will be distributed. At the evening service a new communion rail, the gift of the young men and women of the church, will be dedicated, and service of Holy Communion will follow.
At the Solway Methodist Church at 3 p.m. tomorrow there will be a special service of baptism. At Kuripuni the usual morning service will be held, and in the evening the car service will be available. A Methodist garden party is to be held at the residence of Mr J. M. James. Wangaehu, on Saturday. December 9.
