FEATHERSTON
BOWLING WEEKEND TRIANGULAR MATCH. (“Times-Age” Special.) The triangular game between the Lyall Bay, Masterton Park and Featherston Clubs will be played on the local greens during, the weekend. On Thursday next the local club will be visited by five teams from the Victoria Bowling Club, Wellington. LEAGUE OF MOTHERS FINAL MEETING OF YEAR. The last monthly meeting for this year of the League of Mothers was held in the Parish Hall. Mrs Arch. Clark presided over a fair attendance of members. Several apologies for absence were received. The speaker for the afternoon was Mrs Barton, who gave a most interesting address on a recent trip abroad. The address dealt principally with Portugal. The tea hostesses for the afternqon were Mesdames R. W. Matthews. W. Houston and T. Tidswell. Personal. Mr Mulstcr, Feilding, is relieving at the Bank of New Zealand for a few weeks. Mr K. C. Allen is acting-man-ager while Mr Bloxam is away on his annual leave. Euchre Tournament. There was a very good attendance at the croquet euchre tournament held in the Anzac Hall, the winners being:— Ladies: Mrs Hawke, 1; Mrs F. O'Neale. 2. Men: Mrs Rewai (acting), 1; Mr Ashworth, 2.
