OBITUARY
MR R. BRIDGEWATER. SENR. A well-known and highly respected resident of Greytown, Mr Ruben Bridgewater, Senr., died early this morning. He came to New Zealand at the age of seven from Yorkshire. England, and with his parents settled in Greytown. Mr Bridgewater had lived in the Wairarapa for sixty years, chiefly in the Featherston, Carterton and Grey town districts. In his younger days he was a prominent member of the old Te Wharau Rifle Club.
Mr Bridgewater is survived by a widow, two daughters, and three sons, Messrs R. (Masterton), H. (Carterton) and L. Bridgewater (Pahautea). Mrs A. Mitchell (Greytown) is a sister and Mr F. Bridegwater (Hawera), a brother.
