GREYTOWN
MAGISTRATE’S COURT AN HOTEL CASE. (“Times-Age” Special.) A special sitting of the Magistrate’s Court was held yesterday. Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., presiding, when a case was heard in which the parties were R. D. Vance, hotel proprietor of Greytown, and William Butler and Co. hotel brokers of Wellington. The claim was for a refund of money received on behalf of plaintiff and a further claim for damages. A counter claim was made for commission on "contract for sale.” Mr J. F. Thompson appeared for plaintiff (R. D. Vance) and Mr Hanna, of Wellington, for Butler and Co. The hearing took all day and the magistrate reserved his decision. The concert party of the Anglican Gipsy Fair will’ pay a visit to the Buchanan Home on Saturday.
