GERMAN DEMANDS
REJECTED BY RUMANIA RESIGNATION OF CABINET REPORTED. FINANCIAL AND TRADE ISSUES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.15 a.m.) BUCHAREST, November 23. The Government has resigned after failing to reach agreement' with the German trade mission concerning the German-Rumanian exchange rate. The Germans demanded that the marks paid for Rumanian goods shipped to Germany should be credited at 60 lei instead of the prevailing rate of 41.5, also the use of Rumanian tankers for shipment of oil to the Reich by rail. The German mission left for Berlin last night after Rumania had refused to yield on these points, although she agreed to grant some of the lesser trade concessions. EARLIER NEWS POSITION OF STALEMATE. LONDON, November 23. The Nazi trade mission is negotiating for the delivery by Rumania of 30,000 cattle and 30,000 pigs before March. A stalemate persists regarding increased petrol supplies to Germany, states a Bucharest report. The Bucharest correspondent of “The Times” says that M. Bojoiu. Minister of Commerce, has resigned, presumably owing to differences of opinion regarding the Rumanian-Ger-man trade negotiations, in which he took a leading part. NEW GOVERNMENT M. TATARESCU TO TAKE OFFICE. (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) BUCHAREST. November 23. A former Premier, M. Tatarescu. at present Ambassador in Paris, has formed a* Government. It is revealed that the Minister for Armaments. M. Slevescu, resigned at the same time as M. Bojoiu. It is understood that the German demands also embrace the delivery of mope raw materials and specified cereals and the allocation of forest areas for German use, in addition to petroleum requirements.
