PRE=WEDDING PARTIES
MISS B. COLEMAN HONOURED. A most enjoyable party was held last Saturday at the home of Mrs F. Petersen Senr., Essex Street, Masterton, in honour of the approaching marriage of Miss B. Coleman. Musical items were given by Mrs Carstens and Misses Ralph and Robinson, and Misses Thomas and McLaren gave humorous recitations. After afternoon tea, Miss Coleman, assisted by Misses Petersen and Bell, opened the parcels containing gifts for the kitchen. Miss Coleman thanked her hostesses and guests for the delightful party. Among those present were Mesdames Hunter, Jones, Carstens, McPhun, Duncan, Coleman and Petersen and Misses Francis. Kemp, Bell, Boddington, Ralph, Wells. Thomas, McLaren. Brown, Miller. Armstrong. Hatch, Robinson, McKay, Wilkie, Walls, Carstens and Burns. Miss Coleman and Mr Crookenden were also entertained recently at a "5 to 7 party” at the home of Mr and Mrs Ninnes. After drinking the health of the guests of honour, a delicious savoury tea was served. Later Miss Coleman was called upon to open parcels containing a variety of gifts for her, new home. Mr Crookenden, on behalf of Miss Coleman and himself returned thanks. Later the guests went to the pictures. Among those present were Mr and Mrs Ninnes, Mr and Mrs Greer, Mr and Mrs J. Wells, Mr and Mrs Jones, Misses Petersen, Bell, Armstrong, Hatch, Wells, and Messrs Green, Joblin, Welch, Dawson and McKeague.
