Open singles: Mrs Petrie beat Miss Nix. 26-20. Handicap singles: Miss Nix (34) beat Mrs Petrie (scr.). 26-13; Miss Lyford <5) beat Miss Esma Card ( —), 26-10; Mrs Polson (\) beat Miss Lyford (5), 26-18; Mrs Benton (8) beat Mrs Saunders (2j), 26-7. Play was advanced another stage yesterday under ideal weather conditions. The greens were in excellent order, and visitors from various districts were present, amongst whom was the Wellington referee and player, Mrs Caldow.
