CARTERTON

PLUNKET SOCIETY MONTHLY MEETING OF BRANCH. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Carterton branch of the Plunket Society was held on Monday. There were present Mesdames Wells, Campbell. Candy, Armstrong, Robinson, Callender, Udy and Trapp. Before commencing the meeting members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the late Mrs Johnston, a former president of the branch. The nurse's report for October was: —New cases. 13; pre-natal advice, 2; breast fed, 11; visits to homes, new cases, 26; old cases, 54; visits to rooms, adults, 153; babies, 111; Children, 42, The health and progress of the babies was satisfactory. Accounts amounting to £2O 8s 2d were passed for payment Personal. The friends of Mrs L. Gaskin will regret to learn that she has found it necessary to enter Greytown Hospital for treatment. Mrs Herbert Goodin, of Park Road, Carterton, has entered Masterton Hospital to undergo an operation. Wairarapa P. and A. Society. The monthly meeting of the general committee of the Wairarapa P. and A. Society will be held in the P. and A. room on Saturday next.
