A compliment to the quality of waterside work in Auckland was paid by a master stevedore of the New Zealand Shipping Company who was giving evidence in the Auckland Supreme Court. The question put. to lhe witness. Mr W. M. Glover, was: "What is your experience of the quality of lhe waterside work at this port at present?" In reply. Mr Glover said hi’ thought the quality was good in comparison with any port he knew, and that included shipping centres in England. Australia, and New Zealand and on the eastern coast of the United States
