FEATHERSTON

* WEDDING DUFFY—BENTON. (“Times-Age” Special.) A very pretty wedding took place in the Presbyterian Church on Saturday evening when Dawn, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Stanley Benton, was married to John Wilfred, second son of Mr and Mrs Dully, Lower Hutt. The Rev R. S. Keenan officiated. The bride, who was escorted by he. father, looked charming in a cream English moire taffeta. Her beautiful Honiton lace,veil was lent by an aunt, and she carried a bouquet of lily of the valley and roses. The three bridesmaids. Miss Nancy Jensen, Wellington (chief). Miss Billy Venner, Masterton, and Miss Joyce Graham, wore pretty frocks of Suez corded taffeta, and carried bouquets of rose and blue tones. Mr Keverne Duffy was best man and Messrs L. Dully, and M. Benton groomesmen. Mrs Gold was organist, and Miss E. Till sang a solo during the signing of the register. The church was beautffully decorated in arum lilies by Miss Tutbury. The reception was held at the South Featherston Hall where Mrs Benton, wearing a frock of blue, hat, and fur cape, assisted by Mrs Duffy, attired in floral cyclamen, received the guests. Among the guests were Miss Hutchins (Wellington, wearing honey and gold), Mrs Anyon (Wellington, black and white), Mrs K. Duffy (mustard and brown). Mrs Jenness (blue), Mrs Jenson (Wellington), Mrs H. Clarke (Featherston). Mr and Mrs Duffy, the latter wearing a clover frock and hat with fur cape, left later on a motor tour of the north. Their future home will be Featherston. RIFLE CLUB CUPS COMPETITION. In connection with the Featherston Rifle Club's competition held for the Williams and Bidwill cups the following scores were registered:—
