Mr O. Ibbetson, postmaster, Cromwell. is at present on a holiday visit to Mastertoll.
Mr Harold Clay, Wellington manager of the N.Z. Insurance Company, arrived in Masterton today on a business visit and is staying at. the Midland Hotel.
The Hon I). G. Sullivan, Minister of Railways, officially opened the railway Road Services' new bus terminal in Dunedin yesterday, and left on his return to Wellington last night. Miss Joan Saunders, of Masterion. who went to Auckland to meet her mother, Mrs Walter R. Saunders, of Kelburn. Wellington, on her return from an overseas visit has left for lhe South with her mother.
Mr G. H. Mackley, General Manager of Railways, will visit Kaikoura with departmental officers tomorrow, to discuss with residents the site for a station near the Hapuku River, on which representations have been made by Mr Meachen, M.P.
