An inquiry was held into alleged interference by Royal Spades with Serenata in the Taradale Handicap. It was found to be accidental and no further action was taken. Lady Stella's interference with Fossicker three furlongs from home in the Omahu Hurdles was found to be due to both horses tiring and Lady Stella rolling over on on Fossicker. No further action was taken.
